Annotation: The site of "Dynamo" Moscow stadium and sport park was marked on maps in 1782 for the first time when under Ekaterina Velikaya's order the Peter travelling palace was built. Within the next decades the extensive park, where restaurants and summer terraces, musical pavilions and even the first in Russia film studio were situated later, was created around a palace; so the park became the important Moscow center of culture and leisure.
In 1928 the sports park was opened and gave an obvious sports orientation to the territory. Tens thousand participants and even more spectators were involved here in sports by new, unknown way: there wasn't and there is no Muscovite who would not visit in this or that quality, it's tribunes, fields, or simply alleys. In the end of 70х, during preparation to Olympic games in 1980 the sport park was reconstructed and was adjusted for standards of that time: the football-athletic arena, a gym, a swimming pool, an artificial skating rink and hotel were reconstructed.
In 2010 to follow modern international technical requirements and to support the request of Russia for carrying out of the world Cup in 2018, the management of the stadium and one of the largest banks of Russia - VTB Bank organized competition on architectural and town-planning decisions of sport center "Dynamo" territory development and reconstruction. The international professional consortium under the direction of the companies «(Design) Erick's Van Egeraat» (Holland) and « Mosproject 2» M.V.Posohina's name was invited to participation in competition.
The given design team represented the project concept of the designing territory reconstruction to the unique modern multipurpose town-planning object.
Main positions of the suggested design decision are:
- Creation of the self-supporting profitable project, for what the offer includes allocation of the trading - entertaining areas within the area of stadium, and carrying out of cultural - entertainment actions also.
- Preservation of park, a favorite place of Muscovites rest and its expansion
- Preservation of stadium perimeter in inviolability
- Maintenance of natural and dense communication with a city infrastructure, commercial use of a car parking as transferium.
After reconstruction according to the offered design decision "Arena VTB" will become the most popular and attractive place for Muscovites and city guests visits.
